Go meet the locals!
We have been living all our lifes on the edge of the Gunung Leuser National Park und we like to support our families and friends in the locals village. Therefore we would like to invite you on a tour into our hometown. During this half day tour by motorbike or tuktuk we will take you to our local village near Bukit Lawang. You will get to know first hand how the local people live and work. On the tour you will pass rice fields, plantations, see how brown sugar and tofu are made and visit local schools and markets.
You will get in touch with local people and have an Indonesian lunch. Enjoy the beautiful Sumatran countryside with its amazing views.
